Baby Weighing to much??

Okay mommas I am getting concerned, I went for my appointment today (I am 23 weeks and 1 day) my baby is weighing 1 pound and 8 oz which I also have gestational diabetes and I am trying my best to control with diet and metformin. Should I go ahead and ask the doctor about insulin or wait? What is your babies weighing so far? Im just getting extremely concerned this is also my second baby. This one is a girl as well.

Baby sounds like a good weight for that far along. They are estimates. They told me my daughter was going to be under 5 lbs at term and she ended up being 8lbs and a very chunky healthy baby. As long as your sugars are controlled you should be fine. Diet and activity help.

Those weights are just estimates and in my experience not super accurate. At 23 weeks  they estimated my baby was 1 lb 3 oz.

At 20 weeks they said my baby was already 1 pound. It's not an exact science. You're ok and so is baby perfect 💙 with my last they said I'd have a 10 pound baby and he was 8 pounds 11 ounces.

Just had my 24 week ultrasound today and baby girl

At 24w my baby was 1 pound 12 oz. I was told that was fine. Idk if I have GD i take my glucose test in a couple of weeks, but my SIL had 9 pound babies and she did not have GD.

I’m on insulin and have been since 13 weeks. I’m 23 weeks 5 days and at my 19 week appointment my baby weighed 1lb 3oz. I’m sorry but I’m not sure how much insulin will help at this point!
