Starting to get real….

At my 36 week appt last week I was 0% effaced and 1 cm dilated. At my 37 week appt today she told me I was 50% effaced and 3cm dilated 😳😬 my OB told me if my water breaks I need to be at the hospital in less than an hour and to not go by the 511 rule. If the contractions are picking up and are even 10-15 min apart maybe start thinking about heading that way. I’m a second time mom, so any other ladies, the second time around how quick did it go once you started dilating? With my son, I went into the hospital thinking I was in labor and was 3cm, didn’t dilated further after about an hour and a half of monitoring so we went home. About 6 hrs later I was in complete agony with back labor and being admitted. It’s getting real and feel like we are so close!
