Losing body fat % but gaining weight

Hey ladies! I’m still a bit new to everything involving healthy living, and would love if someone could possibly explain what’s going on :’)

I had been using intermittent fasting as a way to lose weight for the past year or so and last week I finally reached my goal weight in which I set as the point where I would focus on losing body fat % since I’m now considered “skinny fat”. This past week I upped my protein intake in order to hopefully lose body fat while maintaining my goal weight, but I’ve run into the issue where I’m gaining weight but losing body fat %. (For reference, I started last Thursday at 137lbs with 27.6% body fat, and today, a week later, I’m at 139.5lbs with 27.2% body fat). I’m a bit confused as to how body recomposition works and want to know if it’s normal for me to be gaining weight from upping protein intake alone (no workout yet, treadmill is being delivered soon) while also losing body fat? It would be great if someone could explain what could possibly be going on and if I’m doing anything wrong :)
