Ready to quit recurrent clogged ducts/mastitis 4 weeks PP

Raeanna

I have had repeated clogged ducks and mastitis with all three of my kids. This third one however is extraordinarily terrible it came on so fast with almost no warning.

My usual tricks of hot packs before I feed/ cold packs afterwards cabbage leaves Cabo cream Sudafed to reduce milk supply massaging soaking in salt water using the haka with salt water. Nothing I can do is getting rid of these clogs. I have been making sure his latch is good and discontinued using the haaka on the other breast as I nurse because I learned that might have caused my initial oversupply. As soon as I get rid of one another one pops up. I can't take sunflower lecithin because it leads to depression for me.. thinking of talking to the lactation consultant on the doctor to see if I could try soy lecithin.

I've already had a severe case of mastitis along with a bad reaction to the antibiotics they first prescribed me. Every free moment I have is not spent to myself but spent in a hot shower trying to get these clogs out. I don't know what to do.. I am run down my baby has yet to sleep past the 2-hour mark and I am just so discouraged. Feel worse and more depressed now than I did immediately after giving birth.. I cry every single day and just don't know what to do.

Has anyone experienced this what to do to help prevent cloggeduct? I'm desperate. I really do want to make nursing work, though at this point it just doesn't seem sustainable 😮‍💨😥 I feel guilty and like my breasts have betrayed me.
