How do you feel about Colin Kapernick comparing the NLF draft to slavery?

Colin Kapernick recently has recently come out with a film comparing the NFL draft to slavery. In the video it shows black football players being examined and auctioned off in chains. (You can find the video on YouTube if you haven’t seen it). How do you feel about his comparison?

Pretty sure slaves weren’t paid multi millions to toss a ball around on a field.  Of course they’re going to be looked at for their physical ability.  That is literally their job in life as professional athletes.🤦🏻‍♀️

I don't think I'd compare making millions to the beating and enslavement that so many experienced. You can choose not to play football.

Everyone knows a lot of the NFL owners have a slave master mentality. There are still aspects of racism in the NFL especially when it comes to the hiring of minority coaches and they don’t want people taking a stand, that’s why Colin got banned.. but then George Floyd happens, the riots happen and you have full teams kneeling. The climate changed and he was more respected but as we see it now, that still hasn’t led to another opportunity for him. The owners just look at players as a product and not people. There’s no fully guaranteed contracts and it’s more dangerous than many other sports. It’s bogus how they did Kaepernick. I didn’t see the vid but let’s not act like there’s no major underlying issues in the league that could actually relate to what he’s implying.

If he doesn’t want to have a contract, he’s welcome to come work here in my at will state for 100k. All he needs to do a few years to get a BS in biology. The 7-11 up the street is also hiring if he doesn’t want to take college courses 🤷🏼‍♀️

I get that football probably has a lot of racism involved since pretty much everything in America does, but I think comparing it to slavery is a bit much.
