Stopping Continuous Birth Control

My husband and I have decided to try for baby #2. I’ve been on birth control since having my son 5 year ago. I started taking my birth control continuously (skipping the sugar pills) in 2018 (I think). Therefore I haven’t had a period since probably 2018. I was just curious if anyone else has taken continuous birth control and when you came off, how long did it take for a period to return? My doctor said it could take 3 months for it to regulate but I was just curious how long y’all waited for the first period?
