10th percentile

I’ve been told I have a large placenta and my baby is measuring in the 10th percentile. They said baby has enough space at the moment but when I looked at my notes when I arrived home it said possible growth restrictions later on and it also said I’ll have to go for serial growth scans.

Has anyone experienced this? I’m 20 weeks and freaking out as google isn’t filling me with confidence! My next scan is in 3 weeks and apart from the above baby is healthy in every other way.

Some babies are just smaller than they are expected to measure. Everything should be fine.

I’m sure baby will catch up soon. It happens sometimes. It’s nothing to worry about. If something was concerning I’m sure your doctor would tell you. Hold your head up and relax.
