Another babe?!

Question

What made you decide to have another babe? How you did know it was right? Was it a gut feeling? Joint mutual on the same page decision? Hubs and I are still deciding. We already have two kids. Anyone on #3 or more?

Both my husband and I always said we want 4 kids. We have our December 2019 girl and the. Had an august 2021 boy. He’s 3 months old now and we have decided to start trying for baby number 3 around June of next year. We like the age gap between the first two and would like to keep that age gap for the other two kids too. I just have a feeling in my heart that I’m not done. I felt this way with dogs too 😂 when we only had one dog I felt a longing for a second and fully thought I’d want a million dogs but after getting our second, I feel content with the two. I’m assuming I’ll feel the same way when I’m down having kids? Not trying to compare dogs to kids but it’s the only close comparison I have 😂😂

We have 2 kids and are on the fence about a 3rd. I’m older (37) so if we do it, it would need to be soon. Honestly it’s just so hard to be a full time working mom and be the best mom possible once off work… that’s what I struggle with. My brain is fried from work and I wish I wasn’t so exhausted from that on top of being kid exhausted. Plus daycare is insane, and ours is going up $5 a day. I make more money then my husband so being a SAHM isn’t an option. My head says we prob shouldn’t have another, but my heart hurts thinking about not having another. I really don’t know. My husband wanted baby #3 yesterday…. So it’s really me dragging my feet with a decision. Everyone I’ve talked to who has 2 and their kids are grown, have said they wish they did try for 3. So I found that interesting.

I’m pregnant with my second, easy decision, we wanted our son to have a sibling. BUT I plan on having a third too! I grew up with 2 siblings and it just felt right. I want that for my kids too. My husband is also one of 3 and feels the same way.

Yeh I have my 3rd on the way. I have a 4yr old girl and soon to be 2yr old son. Ideally id love another girl and boy. Sister for her, brother for him. Im 34 already so time is sorta of the essence for me at this stage in life. Especially since I usually dont get a first period back for at least a year after giving birth. Huhh been BF non stop for 4yrs!!!! (Yes my 4yr old has stopped but my son is still teething so titty comfort it is).

We’re pregnant with #4.  It was kind of a toss up whether we would have another.  My husband and I both come from families of 3.  I had 3, we have 2 together.  He always envisioned himself having 3 of his own.  I caved on #4, figured we have 3, what’s one more?😂 I love being a mother and all of its chaos, I want difficult to sway.

We have two. Prior to having kids we both discussed kids and both of us always said we wanted two. After our first my husband actually changed his mind and didn’t want anymore. I was actually heart broken. Having a baby and adding another to your family is hard and a lot of work and I don’t think my husband was necessarily as ready as he thought (not that you’re ever really ready haha). I was so sad he didn’t want anymore and almost felt robbed of the life I wanted to live. Thankfully as our son got a little older and out of the baby stage he changed his mind and we did have another (our December 2019 baby). Our problem at this point is money. Our kids in daycare cost us more than our mortgage every month. If we had another, one of us would have to stop working and be a stay at home parent. That being said neither one of us have interest in being a stay at home parent. I have my good days and bad days with it all. I know financially it’s best we stop and stick to our two kids and be happy we have the family we do. But my heart wants more so so bad. I struggle knowing that part of my life is over. My husband is probably good being done for sure but he knows deep down I’d have another in a heartbeat if we became millionaires ha.

I’ve always told my partner I wanted 4 children. I come from a pretty disjointed family, my other siblings didn’t live at home with me but three out of 5 of them now have 4 children. After my first Dec 2019 baby I realized that my role as a mother would require me to stay at home for some years as childcare is ridiculously expensive and I’m at peace with that now. I’m pregnant with #2 I will be home for another 2 years and so on. my partner still welcomes the idea of more and I working on changing his job so we can afford it. We’ve already discussed that we will need to move home sooner that we thought and get a bigger car.  We are so excited for our expanding family and all the adventures to come!

Number 2 (born June 2021) was gut instinct that I’m not done.  Now we have 2 girls and I’m trying to decide how I feel, hubs wants to go for a boy - I’m not sure if I want another - trying to figure it all out.

I’m due with my third in a few weeks. Husband and I have always been on the same page about wanting at least 3. He thinks we’re done after this but I’m keeping an open mind for a fourth, though it would have to be quick as I’m almost 39.

Before having kids we always talked about having two or maybe three. I just knew that I wanted a sibling for my daughter and for her to not be alone growing up. I just had a baby in October and honestly I’m shutting down the idea of a third. I don’t see myself doing this all over again (pregnancy, birth, breastfeeding and all the glorious stages to come lol) I have my boy and girl and I am content. I absolutely love the idea of having a big family but for my own sanity and the money needed for all children, I am okay with my decision and hubby is too.
