Vaginal swab in pregnancy ?

Been to take a urine sample today to gp as was experiencing UTI symptoms so wanted to check if I had a infection .

I left my sample there for gp to dip and then send away for testing if needed to.

Receptionist called back saying gp has asked me to do a vaginal swab ? But wouldn’t tell me why I needed one ( receptionist didn’t know 🙄 Just said that Dr has requested one and has also send my urine to the hospital to be tested )

Anyone know why Dr would want a vaginal swab at 36 +3 weeks ?

Does that mean that something came up when they dip tested my urine or ?
