Anybody have any what could be going on?

So my period ended a week ago yesterday. Yesterday I woke up with mild cramps on my right side by my ovary. A couple hours into my work shift that day I noticed that I had discharge that started off as light brown, old blood I know seems normal. But then it started to turn into pinkish stretchy discharge when I wiped. And then it turned into more of a redish color discharge. Then back to pink and brown mix. I called my gynos office to see if they had any suggestions. They told me to test if its possible that i’m pregnant which it is possible since my boyfriend and I are trying. I should add that the cramps spread to the other side as well so the cramps were pretty intense. Does anyone have any ideas?
