What to expect at MFM appointment?

I have my first MFM appointment this Tuesday at 20+3 due to my BMI. Everything else has been perfectly normal so far. What should I expect from the appointment and has anyone been in a similar situation? FTM so not sure what to expect.

I went to see one because my blood tests were super weird- basically they did an anatomy scan for me, I’ve had to go back, I’m hoping my next one will be my last, but it’s kind of fun to see all the body parts and organs- I will say for both of my appts so far they have had to push on my stomach quite a bit to get the pics they need, so I’m usually sore afterwards, but some rest and a lot of water fixes that in a day or two

They’ll probably do an ultrasound and monitor babies growth and give you some guidance for the rest of your pregnancy. I loved seeing our MFM- they were so very kind

Maternal fetal medicine aka the high risk doctor is amazing. You’ll have a non stress test, they’ll take your bp, and you’ll get an ultrasound. I went for high bp with my first baby and it was a smooth process. Good luck!
