Ovulation After Miscarriage

I had my first miscarriage this week. My doctor performed a D&C yesterday, 11/12. He said to wait one cycle before trying again, but… eff that. I’m anxious. How soon after your miscarriage did you ovulate? Trusty Google says people can as early as 2 weeks. I’m curious because I don’t want to waste too many ovulation strips (like should I start testing after a week?) and they also said nothing in the vagina for 2 weeks (so hopefully don’t have to break that rule 🙃).
