Exposure therapy for phobias

This is a weird one so bare with me.

I have a very intense phobia of hospitals, blood and any medical procedures. Sever case of white coat syndrome.

When I was pregnant I would almost pass out at every doctors appointment even if it was just to check my blood pressure and the baby’s heartbeat.

Been seeing a therapist for this and they recommended exposure therapy. Obviously because of COVID we can’t just go into a hospital. So she recommended watching medical shows like Greys Anatomy. As silly as it sounds, I would never watch shows like that because, even though I know it’s fake, I would still get light headed and nauseous just watching them. The first few episodes I had to skip the medical procedures even.

I’m getting better at being able to watch it though. Has anyone successfully gotten over a phobia with exposure therapy?
