I am trying, but I need help.
If anyone has a child with ADHD, autism and potentially ODD, I could do with your help.
I have a step son that I have a complicated relationship with... He trusts me, I am there for him whenever needed, and when he wants to speak to someone at home, he would rather speak with me than his Dad (who is also very supportive).
But for some reason most of his anger and violence gets aimed at me and I don't understand. It upsets me more because I am pregnant and already tired. I don't bite back (metaphorically of course), I don't react, or shout but I get the brunt of it. I understand it isn't necessarily his fault which is why ignore it, but I still can't help but feel upset by it. I am not trying to get any sympathy as I know the struggle is really his, just advice on how to help him or calm him. I just want a healthier living situation.
EDIT
I want to reply to comments, but want to keep myself anonymous so the child is kept anonymous also.
He is on medication as advised, we are on the waiting list for therapy & counselling, and his diet is tweaked to avoid any unnecessary added struggles.
