Empty Sac 5w4d

I had an early scan due to previous miscarriages and the gestational sac measured 11mm but was empty. My hcg at the time was 12000. I had two more hcgs drawn and they were 22000 and 44000. My next scan is 6w5d and I am terrified it will still be empty. I feel like with my hcg levels that high I should have seen something on the first ultrasound. Should I prepare for bad news 🙁
