Gripe water

Question

So i’ve seen a couple of posts on facebook about gripe water and how it’s “bad” or how moms don’t trust it so i guess my question is why do others feel this way? & mamas who do use gripe water does it help? i don’t really have an opinion on it either way because i’ve only used gripe water a handful of times for my son but just wondering if it’s something i should use?

I 💯 feel like it helped with both my children. My sister swore by it for her son so I used it with my two. My first was extremely fussy, had reflux, witching hour etc. just a very difficult baby, so I used it a lot with him and really saw a difference. With my second I used it but he was a really easy baby so not as often. I also recommended it to my friend and she loved it for her baby as well.

I used it and yes it did help. Just be sure to find one that is alcohol-free cause some do have for some weird ass reason.

They don't sell anything called gripe water here, so have absolutely no idea what we are missing out on.

It never did anything for my babe’s gas/belly but does seem to kick his hiccups right out. No clue why, but I give it if it’s time for him to sleep and the hiccups are keeping him up.

We have used it a few of times because my son has some nights where he is TERRIBLY colicky. It’s hit or miss sometimes it works well but honestly I’ve had better results with just using infant gas drops

I used it a few times but my daughter projectile vomited it. We tried a couple different brands

I used it with pediatricians approval. We used the Wellements since the doctor liked the ingredients used. 
My son was very colicky and this helped him with his gas and helped him sleep better. 
My son is now a very healthy 14 month old.

I know someone who loved it and swore by it, personally I thought it made the gas worse and stopped using it

I personally stopped using it bc the few times I used it for my son it choked him severely.
