I’ve never heard of public sociology but sociology in general is the study of society and groups while psychology is the study of the individual. A lot of grad programs for psychology are focused on clinical research or becoming a therapist. If you’re interested in research either field could work depending on your field of interest but if you’re interested in therapy that’s psychology.
Sociology vs. Psychology help
I’m a Communications major and graduating in Spring. I plan on attending graduate school. I’ve been wanting to study psychology due to my neverending curiousness of the human mind. I love observing.
I’ve been focusing on bettering my mental health as well and becoming more self-aware. My parents suggest I have a masters in Public Sociology though. Help? Thank you!
