Now my parents want to spend time with me
I was a teen mom, pregnant at 17, with twins and in college. Let me tell you I struggled!!! My parents brushed me off said they were done raising kids and I would have to pay them to babysit or if they were busy I had to find a way but the bills and rent I was responsible for needed to be paid on time. At the time I thought this was ohk despite as a child being brought up spending lots of time with my grandparents, my parents didn't need breaks my grandparents always came to pick me up.
I ended up graduating, I randomly applied to universities far from my parents because they were driving me crazy they were bashing me all the time, unwilling to help me, always demanded all of my paycheck then calling me a bad mom for giving away blood to buy diapers after getting most of my check. My ex was not helping and child support took a really long time! I got accepted at the University of South Carolina, my cousin helped me find low income housing, I left my parents and went up from there. I still struggled but I was finally in a safe space! I met my now husband, I graduated but my degree is competitive couldn't find a career but I'm a small business owner doing pretty well for myself. My husband and I have 8 kids my twins included I also have a second set of twins! They weren't present at anything! The births of my kids, my wedding, graduation, etc! We just bought a house, it's a healthy marriage and happy family. Now my parents wants to be a part of life, I think solely because they are jealous that my in-laws are that same village they had and their disappointment child is now their only trophy in life. I'm currently in therapy since they resurfaced I've been stressed out! They've moved an hour away, they pop up at my house, constantly DM my husband like this can't be the same couple that said I wouldn't amount to anything. Idk what to do I can't get a restraining order.... I almost forgot they're threatening to come after me for "grandparents" rights what a joke! In my state that is a high possibility!
