Sexless night

I tried to have sex with my boyfriend last night after he tease me all day about sex(even brought handcuffs) for him to turn me down because “he did want to take a shower before he went to the gym” I was instantly upset. Then I realized he did have a bad day because of family drama and decided to cuddled with him. Today after the gym he want to have sex snd I told him no because I tossed and turned all night.

I do want to have sex but I don’t want to initiate the deed to be turned down again. Should I wait until he brings it up? Or put on something special tonight?
