If you saw a dog go after the back of your dogs neck and growling and snarling just because your dog walked past that dog would you consider the other dog aggressive?
My MIL has a 4 year old rescue who to be blunt is incredibly reactive. She barks and growls and snarls at people, kids, cars, bikes, dogs, cats, squirrels, it moves she hates it. With people and animals she likes she’s very loving and affectionate. But with my dog she is a fucking menace.
First thing in the morning we hear shrill ass barking because a squirrel dare exist outside. I let my dog out of the bedroom to go outside and use the restroom and before he can even get to the door she’s attacking him and snarling. My MIL stomps her feet like a two year old and claps her hands going “STOP HEY HEY STOP” now both dogs are scared shitless and my poor dog is now afraid and just needs to go pee still.
Her dog sees mine and it’s on sight most times. Other times mine decides to initiate play by bringing a toy over to her and she you guessed it goes after his neck. It’s to the point the other people say “Luna won’t leave him alone!” “Luna stop attacking him” This dog has even been on leash and jumped to try and bite my dog while he was in my arms. In front of people! Not to mention my dog can’t even eat when she’s around because she attacks him to scare him away from his dog bowl then inhales his food.
But noooooo “Luna isn’t aggressive she’s never like this with other dogs” “it’s not her fault” “you need to do blah blah blah” I’m so over it and just wanna know I’m not just being oversensitive. And that other people would also find this frustrating
