Is it normal to not hate your job, but hate working in general no matter what job?
I've been with my husband 8 years, from high school to now both of us being 24 with 2 kids. Im a stay at home mom and he works.
He has had a few different jobs over the years since he was 18, all of which he's been very good at, he's a people person and his coworkers/bosses love him no matter where he is. He started out in retail, work at home computer job, a labor intensive job, and now he's been at his current job 3 years, works long hours in front of a computer but makes more than enough for our family.
However no matter how much $ he makes or where he works, he hates working in general. He still does great and doesn't slack, but sometimes he will just be grouchy all day because he'd rather be home with us. I've never had a job after college because of kids, and with my degree I would make about a third or fourth of what he does and wouldn't be able to maintain our lifestyle.
He says he likes his job and the money from it but he will always hate working for someone else and wants to do something bigger, but until then he just hates work. He took 3 months of paternity leave off earlier this year and it was the happiest he's been as he just got to stay home with us.
Is this normal for him to feel misery just at the thought of working anywhere?
