heartburn

is it normal to have hurtburn this much? i’m not pregnant and i notice it’s much more stronger at night. it’s not crazy painful but it just feels like a mild burning sensation at the back of neck and throat and every now and then this bitter liquid will come up when i burp it. i recently started feeling it last weekend and it comes and goes. does that mean there’s something wrong with me if i’m having it out of a sudden?

again i’m not pregnant, i’m not even having sex so i know it can’t be that.

also, what are some remedies to prevent it?
