Miscarriage starting and stopping?

So I had an ultrasound on November 22nd, I was suppose to be 9weeks and 3 days but all that could be seen was a yolk sac measuring 5weeks and 4days. I was told I was going to miscarry. Well fast forward to Wednesday (November 24) and I started spotting. I had spotting until Sunday and really bad cramps and back pain. Nothing happened as it was just spotting. Now for the past 2 days I haven’t had any spotting or pain. Is this normal?? I’m very confused and can’t see a doctor until Friday. My last miscarriage wasn’t like this at all.
