NIPT test questions??

I’m scheduled Dec 21 for a NIPT test at 9 weeks exactly. Will they be able to tell the gender that early? How long did it take to get your results? 💖💙💖💙 thank you

It depends on the test but my dr recommended waiting until after 11 weeks. Prior to that you risk not getting enough fetal dna.

My dr does it at 10 or 11 weeks but if theres enough dna in you at 9 weeks, then yes

I may be wrong, but I was told by my doc and have seen others say the same on here that you must be at least 11 weeks. My doc told me to wait til closer to 12 just to avoid getting “inconclusive” results. 
I didn’t end up getting the genetic testing so maybe it was something else, but I’d double check anyway. I was told results would take up to 2 weeks for me.

Yes they will be able to tell you the gender with the nipt if you want to know. The time to get results really depends on your provider, I’ve heard some people get them in a few days but it’s more common to get them in 8 days to 2 weeks. Congrats on your pregnancy!
