Can’t get over what sons father said

Has anyone ever experienced their SO saying mean stuff about them? Even while pregnant? I broke down today crying because I can’t get over the negative things he has said/called me before and after I had my son. He makes me feel so ugly about myself. He use to call other females pretty when we were together and say my body “is shit” compared to the girls he is friends with.

It hurts a lot. He even said he should have stayed with his ex instead of with me. I don’t know why I try so hard to make this relationship work when I can’t even get over the insults he has made towards me.
