Weird Pre-Treatment Ultrasound
I had an ultrasound today and some of the sonographer’s comments and observations confused me and/or contradicted what I’d previously been told. Does anyone have any advice or experience of one or more of these things?
We’ve been ttc for 9 years and every time I have a scan or procedure they come up with a different line of enquiry. I feel like crying and giving up.
- even though I’d just been to the toilet, my bladder was still full, needs to be checked for blockages/infections
- my left ovary, which was previously thought missing, then found but far over to the left, is now too far to the right, looks dormant and is smaller than it should be.
- my uterus is smaller than it should be.
- my endometrium looks very good.
- I am on cycle day 12 and my dominant follicle is only 9.8mm big. That’s about half the size it should be now. So, I’m either going to ovulate in 2 days, as is normal, but the follicle is under mature or I’m going to ovulate in ~6 days, later than is normal, but with a normal sized follicle.
