Parents X-mas falls flat
Last X-mas dinner we had at my parents was 3 years ago when we announced our pregnancy. Since then my parents haven’t wanted to host anymore. My Mom says it’s too much for her, which I understand. So what I have done is gone on XMAs day with LO at my parents to visit for a bit. A month ago I told her, hubby and I would like to host Xmas dinner, she says, it’s not necessary and everyone should celebrate in their own home. This is getting me angry, upset and disappointed. Numerous times I have gotten into arguments with my mom because she says they feel excluded from my LOs life whereas my in-laws have the privilege to see her almost everyday. But I have made many attempts, including invite to X-mas and all I get is rejection.
Sometimes, I get so upset that I don’t care to visit them. I don’t want to cause another row but I feel I’m doing all the work here! Should I make a simple , when and where invitation yet again?
