How do I ever decide ?

So when I was younger I never really great at school I didn’t care much. I did a couple classes at a community college out of high school and failed. I was smoking and drinking a lot at the time. My parents pushed me to go into cosmetology school. I am good at it. I tried it for a couple years and I just didn’t feel rewarded and was quite sick of it. I am 23 almost 24 now and have been trying to figure out what I should do career wise with my life. I have always fancied the medical field. I always find myself watching greys anatomy, Chicago med. but I’m scared of choosing the wrong proffesjon again so I have been putting it off. I would like to try and decide before the new year so I can get started on school again. I was looking into some faster programs without pre reqs like vet tech, dental assistant, medical coder, pharm tech. I’m really just exploring all options. Nursing was at my top of list but I feel like I’m not smart enough and good enough at school. Also takes longer then some of these 2 year programs. But my passion in life is helping others and I think something like that might be fulfilling for me? How do I decide ?
