Abnormal Nuchal Fold

Wondering if anyone has any personal experiences they’d be willing to share. We found out today at our 20 week scan that baby has an abnormal nuchal fold. The normal nuchal fold thickness for this gestation is <6mm and our baby’s was 6.3mm. We did not get the NIPT in the first trimester, but immediately today they had us meet with a genetic counselor as this finding is a marker for Down syndrome and increases our risk 18x. We had bloodwork done today and will get results in 5-7 days, but I guess I’m just looking for words of encouragement, support, or personal experiences in the meantime. This baby is loved one million percent regardless, but it is still a stressful waiting game to play.
