I’m applying into the Dental Hygeine program any RDH?

II’m applying into the dental hygiene program next month and I’m really nervous about it and my gpa and wonder if i will fet accepted. If there is anyone out there who is a RDH/ In the program/ got accepted can you tell my your gpa when you got accepted and how was the application process?

I think it depends on how big the school is you’re applying to and how strong the other applicants are since it’s all a point based system. You could not get in one year then reapply the next year or to a different school and get right in. Montana only has one dental hygiene school and it accepts 12 students. I got put on the wait list so I applied in another state and got right in. I only had a 3.6 cumulative gpa when I graduated, I got a degree in psychology with an emphasis on research and added my pre-reqs on top of that. I was a dental assistant for 5 years before so I had some experience too. I know a lot of girls in my class never had any dental experience they just had mostly all A’s for their pre-reqs that seems to be weighted the most. Next they factored in bachelor degrees and dental experience which helped me. Good luck!
