9 weeks brown discharge

I am currently 9 weeks pregnant and since last Tuesday (Dec 14th) I have noticed some brown discharge whenever I wipe. I assumed this was from having sex that previous Sunday. Then on Friday I had bleeding but no cramps or clots. I called my doctor and they were able to see me Friday and did an ultrasound. Baby still looked good and was measuring the correct amount of weeks/days and the heart beat was good! Since then I have been having more of a brown/ pink mucus discharge when I wipe, much thicker than before, almost like mucus or snot. Any one else experience this/ is this normal?
