How many naps a day does baby take?

We have a Nanit camera and the app today suggested that now would be a good time to start cutting down to two naps from three but we are still at four naps a day. 
Every two hours he starts getting crabby and rubbing his eyes and falls asleep within minutes of going into his crib.
He also sleeps through the night without issue. 
He will be 7 months Jan 7th. How many naps is everyone else at?

Mine is the same. Every 1.5-2 hours gets cranky and needs a nap. My first was a terrible sleeper (and still is) so I don't question this 😅

I let my baby sleep whenever she’s tired. On daycare days she takes 3 naps (she’s bossy and doesn’t like to miss out on all the fun). On weekends she takes 4 solid, hour long naps. I just watch her sleepy cues and put her to sleep when she tells me she needs it.

Typically 2 but for a little while it was rough because daycare was only laying him down for 1 nap a day at around 1pm when he gets up for the day at 7. He was seeming super crabby and I asked and put an end to that. His wake windows are longer than a few months ago. However, if he seems tired or had a rough night of sleep (he’s currently cutting his second tooth) I let him nap however many times he wants/needs. Most nights when not initially cutting a tooth he sleeps 12-13 hours so I let him do his thing  during the day for naps,  be it 2 or 3 etc

My son went down to 2 naps then randomly went back to 4 naps and now at 3ish nap. Honestly I’m not going to deprive him of sleep especially if he is rubbing his eyes and yawning. When I think we are in a schedule bam changes. He sleeps 12-13 hours at night straight so whatever happens during the day I’m okay with.
