Has anyone else’s parents take care of another persons child like it’s their child?

My family is coming to visit and they watched my cousin as if they were his own because when he was born his parents worked so much then had another baby right after him. They’re bringing my cousin with him to visit my son and my family but my husband is really really upset that my cousin is coming.

They will be staying at a hotel for 5 days and with us for 4

Though my husband will mostly be working. I feel sick to my stomach bc my husband is yelling at me and I just feel like Christmas is ruined.

My husbands family was never close. My family is super close, family oriented. Help each other out for as long as we can. His family, not so much. So it’s hard that he sees it in that way but I understand where he’s coming from.

My family let us stay at their place, always bought us food, things for our son, give us money. His family does absolutely nothing….

So am I absolutely wrong for feeling sick to my stomach and sad??… I’m pregnant and super emotional too… this sucks
