How to prepare to have baby sleep over for the night?

For New Years we’re going to my brothers house to celebrate and most likely staying the night so we can have a few drinks. 
It will be the first time my 14 month old will sleep at a different house if all goes well. 
We have a pack and play and will have her take naps in it for the next week so she gets used to it. We’re going to move her from her room to another room later in the week. 
But she hasn’t even napped at somebody else’s house since 6 months. We haven’t been out much because of covid. She naps at daycare though. 
How do we prepare?

I wouldn't worry about having her sleep in the pack n play or be in a different room. It's only one night away from home, no need to disrupt her whole schedule for a week because of it. Make sure you bring the things she's used to having at bedtime; sleep sack, sound machine, lovey, etc. I usually bring our baby monitor when we travel. Some kids do just fine sleeping in a new environment and some don't, but it's only one night.

I wouldn't prepare her too much. You just keep the environment as consistent as possible and you should be good.

We just talked about it with our daughter. Her grandma had a bed for her so she couldn't get used to that, but she had her own duvet and teddy bears with her.
We talked about it a lot and just did it.
It wasn't perfect, but it went fine. She handled it great and grandma did an amazing job on calming her down when she got upset. They ended up sitting and hugging on the couch until she fell asleep. She put her to bed and she woke up happy the morning after.
Prep by talking about what's gonna happen is super helpful in general..

We had the best luck by sticking to the bedtime routine as close as possible.  Still did our bath, nurse, and story time and our kids have usually done really well. We also always brought their sound machine and at least one item from their bed at home

If she naps fine at daycare then she’ll probably be fine for your overnight trip. I always slept with the sheets/blankets I was bringing on the trip for a couple nights so it would smell like me and help them relax.

You’ll be fine, babies are very adaptable. She might be a bit overwhelmed or overstimulated by things being different but it’s night sleep, and kids hormones and natural urge to sleep at night are powerful by that age, it’ll be fine.
Some travel tips to live by though:
It’s easiest if there’s a separate room for her, just like at home, ask ahead. A climate controlled large closet works as well. 
Take your baby monitor and sound machine. Take dark sheets and thumb tacks in case the room is too bright from windows.
Don’t forget any loveys blankets or pillows she is attached to and whatever books she likes at bedtime. You can even do a bath there with her favorite toys and towel to mimic the home routine.
And enjoy!!!! If this is y’all’s first time getting out like this, and traveling with her, may it go smoothly and may there be many more! At that age we started doing camper trips with our first boy and it was so fun!!! The first time or two are hard and then you get your systems in place and it’s all good.

Just go for it and don’t worry about it too much . It’s only one night . My son was about 15m when we took a vacation over the summer and we didn’t even practice with the pack in play . Just stuck him in it that first night . He actually did really well. Plus he was tired enough . My other son was 2 1/2 at the time and he actually had a more difficult time falling asleep away from home .
