Baby shower or not?

Hey everyone.  I don’t think I will have a baby shower  cuz I have not heard anyone will do it. unless I make a party myself.  I do need baby stuff.  And clothes I’m little behind but doing step by step since money.  But hope have everything in needs before my baby boy born in March.  Hugs to everyone!  Things are expensive these days.  Been looking for sales.

I chose not to have a baby shower because my husband lost his job and we can't afford to host one because with Christmas that just past and our son's birthday around the corner it's just too much right now. I'm hoping people buy gifts. But we have most of the big ticket items from our first thankfully. But I do agree with the PP about buying second hand. You may even be able to find some free baby stuff second hand. Ask around to friends who have had kids as well, you will be amazed with what they hang on to lol

I didn’t or am not having one either. I did still register for essentials and sent out the registry to anyone who asked though. And when it comes closer towards the end of the pregnancy I’ll just buy whatever is left on there. I haven’t gotten many gifts but a few and every little bit helps!

I ended up planning my baby shower for my now 2 year old. It was a lot of work but I’m happy I did it. We got a lot of the stuff we needed and it was nice to celebrate. 
With this baby we will probably have a sprinkle since it’s another boy. 
My in-laws suck and my parents live out of state and are older, so I’ll probably plan my own again. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Look for second hand baby stores, I go to once upon a child, they are not everywhere but it's worth looking.  Also mom 2 mom consignments. And on Facebook people sometimes have good deals on bags of baby clothes or stuff that they just want gone.  Good luck!

I do a registry for every baby. Not that I need people to buy off of it. BUT you do get a discount for anything left on it to be purchased! If I’m going to buy it anyway I want a 10-15% discount! 😂

I’m not. This is my 2nd and I don’t feel as overwhelmed- I know we don’t need a whole bunch. I know my close family will probably want to buy us some stuff so I’m not really worried about it- especially with how Covid is right now anyway. It’d be too much stress on me than it’s worth but that’s just how I feel for my situation 😅.
