Everything isn’t Covid. But Covid is a worldwide pandemic, and it’s killing/harming people, so if you’re sick with Covid-like symptoms, it makes sense to behave as though you have Covid until you can confirm that it isn’t Covid. That’s just being responsible.

I think the idea is that there is such a wide range of symptoms that people are experiencing (especially with the different variants) that they would rather be safe than sorry

3 days ago I had a scratchy throat and low grade fever and tested positive. Woke up this morning with 103 and can’t taste anything. This virus is very unpredictable and presents in different people different ways. Better safe than sorry.
