Advice for teen mom?

Question

Is there any advice you wish you had gotten before you had your baby? Anything I should know? I’m having my first baby and I’m a senior in high school (please no judgment.) I have very very little experience with babies and I need all of the help I can get. Please let me know anything you think I should know or let me know of any products you think I will need. I’m having a baby boy and I’m due February 2nd! Thank you!!!

Spotify is wonderful for their whitenoise podcasts! Try to have patience with your baby, it can definitely be challenging! Don't constantly hold your baby when they're sleeping, it'll turn to hell when they always want to be held while sleeping because you can't sleep! Good luck! 🥰

I have 2 full notebooks of notes with an index and it is a life saver when I need to read up on a subject but don’t want to reread an entire book. Educate yourself on infant safety (sleep safe, safe products, car seat safety, when they can go in the sun/signs of jaundice/ when they can eat solids/what foods are dangerous to them etc.) and then focus on parenting skills and emotional regulation/coping skills for yourself. It sounds like a lot but better to be prepared beforehand then totally overwhelmed after you give birth!
