Third trimester scan?

Is it typical to get a scan in the third trimester? I'm thinking growth scan? I'm hoping I get to see my sweet babe one more time!

I think it depends on your hospital and what’s going on medically. At my hospital, they don’t if you’re under 35 and everything looks normal. I ended up having one with my first because I was measuring large. For this one I’m 37 and on a blood thinner so they did one to make sure everything looked normal.

Depending on where you from it may not be common. It wasn't where I had my first 2, but I got them at 32 weeks as I have low laying placentas

I did at 36 weeks! It’s actually crazy how much harder it is to see anything compared to the anatomy scan. I saw her ribs clearly and somewhat the outline of her nose and mouth and that was about it

Had one at 35 weeks and didn’t get to see his face or anything as he was head down facing back already. Did get to see his feet and spine lol nothing exciting though

I had one with my son around 36 weeks to make sure he was head down, and then again in the hospital. It’s really crowded in there so you can’t really see much!

With both pregnancies, I’ve been scheduled for a final scan around 36 or 37 weeks to check growth before delivery.
