My son is playing basketball and his teammates won’t pass to him! Help!
Okay so I can’t post this on FB but I have a question. My 9 year old son just started basketball for the season and two practices in and his teammates will not pass him the ball. They only pass to their friends on the team. My son is getting open and ready and willing to play he is upset and thinks no one likes him. There are a few girls on his team that also don’t get the ball passed to them either. Even during warm ups he couldn’t get the ball.
How would you handle the situation as a parent? I am encouraging my son to go for the rebound and get aggressive with trying to get the ball and focus on his skills.& of course pass so all teammates . I don’t want to see his love for the sport fade because of this.
Any advice on how I should help or step in or not step in and guide him?
Thanks so much!
