Long drop before period? Low progesterone?

Question

I’ve only been charting for 3 months, on month 4 of TTC #2. I’ve noticed that my temp drop before my period is between 3-5 days, vs the 1-2 that I feel like I always read should happen. Does this indicate that something is wrong, like low progesterone? Or could this just be my normal? Any insight? I’m having a hard time trying to find any answers from dr google. Thanks!

Looks normal! As long as your not dropping and starting your period. I had that problem I ovulated and my temp would drop 7-8-9dpo then period would come and I’d have a period every 14 days. I was diagnosed with Uterine Cancer. Temping save my life!

The charts look normal. Technically a drop means below your first elevated temp after ovulation (follicular phase levels). Yours still appear to stay elevated during the luteal phase, even up to your period. Low progesterone does present as low(er) temp, but without blood work it’s hard to gauge what your low is or what your normal is. Speak to your gyno and ask for a CD21-22 progesterone draw, that can tell you if your deficient. You can also ask for a progesterone supplement if it’s low in case you get pregnant.
