Baby Shower After Birth?

Question

Would it be weird to have a baby shower a couple months after I give birth when Covid cases aren’t climbing? It would clearly be a little different than a typical baby shower. But essentially that’s what it would be. I’m due in March so it would most likely be in June so it can be outside.

I'm not trying to downplay you but covid will always be here much like the flu. It's going to keep spiking because new variants. 
But to answer your question,  no It's not weird. You do what you feel is comfortable.

No. It's called a "sip and see". You drink wine (or just eat food) and see the baby.

I am doing something similar but it’s a Welcoming party . And it will be outside ! When my baby girl is about 4-6 months

It’s not weird! But covid will still be a thing. So if you need financial help / gifts for baby I would do it before. If you’re uncomfortable make it virtual or something. After, you’ll probably still get gifts but it won’t be as beneficial because you’ll have already had to buy everything you needed. You’ll probably just get some clothes/ toys, think like a birthday or other holiday that comes after baby

It’s not weird, it’s just different than a traditional shower, because at a shower you are likely getting gifts of things you need for the baby and will use either before or when baby arrives. Unless this isn’t your first child and you have a good majority of what you’ll need for baby 2.
If you have the gathering is after the baby arrives, and more of a visitation to meet the baby, you’ll need to have everything you’ll need already.  It’s not about presents but just something to think about, considering your financial situation too, cause family and friends often want to help
