Toddler stalling at bedtime

So we used to just put our 2 year old in bed after hugs and kisses, cover him up and leave the room. Lately he has been stalling every single time and it’s driving me bonkers. He does things like ask for another hug or a kiss or a different stuffed animal. I can’t really be mad at him because honestly I love giving him hugs and kisses but he goes on and on. I’ve tried just saying we already did loves go to sleep now and he just sobs and sobs and then gets hysterical. If I let him cry then go back in and do one last love he goes right down but seriously it takes like 10 minutes every day to get him down for nap and bedtime now. 🤦‍♀️ any advice??
