Sacs measuring a week behind?

I went for a 6 week scan today due to miscarriage history. There were 2 sacs measuring 5w1d and 5 weeks exactly. Both were empty - no yolk sac or baby. I am fairly confident of my dates as I was tracking ovulation but I did conceive In my first cycle post miscarriage. 
Anyone have experience with this? Is this pregnancy hopeless too? Why would my measurements be a week off?

A week is no biggie. Even after a peak ovulation test it can still be another 24-36 hours until you actually ovulate. Then implantation can take from 6-8 days, so if you are on the farther end of either of those it will throw your dates off more.

I’m not sure about the sacs being empty, unless it’s too early to see anything. I also am pregnant after my first cycle post miscarriage and my first scan was a week off. I had my first scan at 8+1, but measured 7+1. The Dr. didn’t seem concerned as I think sometimes miscarriage can affect your cycle. Also since your fertile window is about a week and then you have to account for implantation, I think it is normal for your DD to vary within a week or so. I’m not an expert, just going on what my dr said and what seems to make sense in my head 🤷🏼‍♀️

I had an early scan at same gestation an had an empty sac, a week later heartbeat could be seen 🙏 currently 22weeks ❤️ praying hard for the same for you.

Went for my scan today and the tech wouldn’t really let me see or tell me anything. Said my doctor will have the results. Not feeling hopeful. Should be 7-8 weeks. Grabbed some tiny pics off the screen as I was dressing.
