Membrane sweep success ??

Question

So am getting a membrane sweep at 38 weeks. What was your experience with membrane sweep? Did it help you go into labour ? How many centimetres were you when you got the sweep?

I had one with my second child when I was 39w3d.  I was 3cm dilated and 50 percent effaced.  Went into labor 12 hours later :)

Had one yesterday. Near 100% effaced but only 1 cm dilated. It hurt more than I expected if we’re being honest… I’ve had some cramping that sometimes becomes organized and sometimes fades off. I’m not sure if anything will come of it
