Our relationship was dumb

So I get to thinking about mine and my ex’s relationship and I’m like how did we end up having a child and staying together. We literally were fighting over intimacy from the beginning and stupid things. As bad as I hate to say it our relationship was blehh. The one blessing was our daughter because she is absolutely beautiful and forever will be our baby. It’s more I just can’t get past the fact we both stayed when we weren’t ever in love to begin with? You can tell looking back now. Is this common? Like do people sometimes just stay together just because? I’m lost and trying to find myself again and self reflect but to be honest I look at him and I’m like why and how did this even happen lol.
