He thought I was his mother for a split second
Back story: So basically the story is my husband cheated on me 16 years ago. I forgave him. The women never told him she was pregnant and recently he had to get a paternity test because the women is deceased and her son has nowhere to go and he is his kid. I moved my 8 year old in with my 10 year old and they're pissed and my 13 year old is mad that the family isn't the same.
I got up to use the bathroom around 3am. When I walked passed Brayden's room I figured to see if he needed to pee or if his bed was wet. I woke him up. He was obviously half asleep and his bed was already wet so I told him to go pee and changed everything and wiped down the plastic. He was taking a long time and I went to check on him to see if was okay but he just went back to sleep on the toilet. So I lead him back to his bed. Put a blanket over him and kissed him on the head. He said "Love you mom" extremely exhausted. Now I know he wasn't saying mom to me as in I'm his mom. He was just so tired he said Mom to me as in he thought I was his deceased mother. But I still found it sweet. I'm assuming she's had to do that for him which is why his sleepy brain mistook me for her and regardless of my personal feelings on her, I can tell she was an amazing mom to him.
