Pretty certain I have a kidney stone ðŸ˜
I have a history of kidney stones. I’ve had at least 2-3 a year since I was 21 (33 now) and they run in my family. I was already warned by my OB there is a pretty high chance of me having at least one during my pregnancy. I am 8wks pregnant today.
Welp, literally 12 hours after the appt, I’m pretty sure I’m passing one. I was reading and winding down last night, about to head to bed when I felt this INTENSE pain in my right lower abdomen, close to my bladder/groin. At first I thought it was just really bad cramps, but it very quickly escalated to the point I was vomiting from pain. Woke
up hubby and he packed me up and off to the ER we went. There was about a 3 1/2hr wait just to get in a room and between all the people coughing, my poor husband needing to work this morning, and my fear of catching COVID, I decided to go ahead and come back home. The pain had died down to a bearable level by then.
I’m still hurting today. Not as bad as last night, but I also know the pain with stones comes and goes occasionally (hurts like hell when they move!!).
I’m terrified about being pregnant and having these … the medicine I rely on for pain during these (Toradol) is NOT something I can have while pregnant. Should I just try to ride it out if I can? If you’ve had a stone while pregnant, what did they give you?
