Does your husband do it

Question

Okay, be honest, seriously. No bullshitting. 
Since you've had your child/children has your husband/boyfriend/partner slacked on house work? Do you need to ask him to certain things that are basic daily cleaning duties? Does he make meals even though he works? Do you work and are still expected to do the same amount of house chores + mom load? Does your husband sleep in most of the weekends and you are up? Who takes the kids to doctors apps? Or books the appointments? If your having a hard day does he take initiative to be like hey what can I do to help instead of waiting for you to ask to do something. Does he know your kids bedtimes or do you need to tell him " hey bedtimes in 10 minutes"  or what about their clothing size? Or does he do more of all of this and if so what? 
I am genuinely curious if my boyfriend is broken or if he's doing the "norm" dad stuff. I'm not trying to cause a debate but seriously, whats different now then it was before ? What could you rant about that he doesn't do or rave about what he does?

Web have 5 kids and I am a icu nurse. He has always helped. We are partners and that means our goal is 50/50 but if one of us is busier or whatever we adjust and pick up the slack. The idea that men can't cook, clean, or take care of kids is asinine to me. My husband is a "manly man" but dumb stereotypes smd from a cukture it is usually women do everything but the man can make some dang good food and has never shied away from folding some laundry or a mop amd he does it happily to help. And it got better after we had kids because we had another person to care for. Keeping a house is a team effort and my team is solid. We all do our parts but if I am exhausted for work he will take the load, same as I will do for him. You help make the mess, you help clean it. You eat food, you can help make it. You made kids, you help take care of them.

My hubby not only loves to cook, but is a BOMB cook too. I scored lol. Both of us slack big time on the cleaning. We have a special needs son and our parental workload is split 60/40 (I’m his stay at home parent CNA). Life’s going to look different soon for us with another on the way and switching roles with who works and who’s the CNA since my son is getting too big for me to lift, especially while pregnant. He generally cleans as much as I do. We just learned that this is the best way to keep the house from getting over run with messes.

I’m not married, but my brother and his wife are the perfect team. My brother and his wife both work and carry guns have stressful jobs, they live in a half million  dollar home, which they worked their way up to their 5th home, They have a cleaning lady, she comes or twice a month, but the house is so clean you could eat off the floors they both clean, they both take care of the kids, they both changed diapers, my brother cooks like a chef, he grocery shops, he pays the bills, they both do the dishes, the laundry, they couldn’t be better matched. My sister-in-law she’s in charge of clothing the girls, the shoes, that kind of stuff their costumes for their dance competitions and soccer, they both take turns driving to soccer matches that are an hour away. My brother is the head of the household, but they are a team, he’s an excellent saver of money, they go on multiple vacations a year,they are best friends. Married 15 years with 13 and 14 year old girls. ￼￼￼￼￼￼￼￼￼￼￼and that’s the way it is supposed to be. A team that both do everything.

My husband gets up with our toddler 1-3 times a night (he falls asleep faster) and he wakes her in the morning then goes to work . I do most things at home because he’s not home till the kids are in bed or just before bed even though I work was working every morning . But he would always put our youngest to bed with me and help tidy dinner up. On weekends he cooks and if I ask him to do anything he will. I usually have “jobs “ for him to do in free time lol poor guy. He does most of the outdoor work as well but we work well together because neither of us is afraid of hard work and we both give 100%

My husband is not really good with cooking but he tries... however he will manage most everything else like cleaning, laundry, mopping, vacuuming, cleaning  bathrooms etc. so it balances out.

No, my husband has overall stepped above and beyond my expectations as a dad and partner.
Being pregnant with my second he has carried both household, work and the oldest for a few weeks now. Only asking me for help a few times.

My husband isn’t much of a cook but he makes up for it in other areas of housework and stuff. He does plenty of laundry and dishes to help me out. He also does a lot  for our kids (like bath time and bedtime)

My husband works 10 hour nights. He gets home at 7-730 and he knows he can only sleep til noon. We have 2 under 2, and even though I stay home, I still need all the help I can get. He wakes up and gets adjusted, has his coffee, and then either feeds the baby or plays with our toddler. He knows the toddler's nap times and bedtimes. He knows the bed routine. He and I both tackle the kids together everyday. He changes diapers, he gives baths, he feeds bottles, does normal household chores, makes dinner, and does laundry. I do all these things too. I usually do a fair share more than him, but its my job to. We are a team and that's how we work. When one of us feels we are doing more than the other, we bring it up to each other. I feel like just because you have a day job doesn't mean you can slack on being a parent. They are still your children that you brought into the world. And children see who is there for them and my husband doesn't want to be that dad that who's children hate him.

My husband works running our small business, so he’s busy basically 24/7 either working or sleeping 
I do all of the housework, change all the diapers, potty train, baths, doctors appts, bedtime , etc. I also work part-part time doing emails/calls/invoicing/payroll/etc basically all the “office-y” stuff for the business. 
My husband does all the outdoor type stuff, brings the trash bins out, goes to the car wash semi frequently & generally at least tries to keep the car(s) clean. He’s also in charge of assembling literally any shelf, crib, furniture, or bed we get (lol) he has a vague idea of the kids clothing sizes, and periodically will buy stuff for them as needed. He cooks on occasion (I suck at cooking) 
He gets groceries here & there. I usually tell him what we need if he does pick up groceries. He’s pretty helpful when I’m sick though, he’ll take over with the kids & get me medicine if I need it. 
Idk if our responsibilities are necessarily evenly split, but overall we have a pretty good routine for most things. My husband is very loving to both the kids & I, and really runs himself into the dirt to provide for us, so although it’s sometimes frustrating & exhausting with all the cleaning etc, I kind of can’t complain too much. Being able to be a SAHM with my babies is probably the greatest thing he’s ever given me .
