Hey all :)

My name is Rika and I delivered my baby at 32+6 on October 20th. She came spontaneously at 1:45pm and it went all so quickly that she came in the ambulance. We spent 16 days in the nicu because she needed some support breathing.

Today she is 12+3 weeks old and is totally fine. She started to consciously smile and is really happy to see mommy and daddy.

But I honestly ask myself if she is a bit behind with her development. Shouldn’t Babies at that age be able to grab and to actively hold on to things?

She isn’t even interested in her toys. She stares at us intensively, studying our faces. But other things are not of interest.

Is that normal? How do your babies develop and do you think they are slower or in any kind „behind“ others?
