Sam's club or Costco? Which is better and why?

Kirkland products are great, Costco has a better selection everything, an awesome return policy, a far superior shopping experience, pay their employees better, and I would personally prefer not not support the Walton empire when possible 🤷🏼‍♀️

Sam’s club. Went to Costco and got two carts worth of food. Trip took a while to get items and to be rung up. Was asked to pay and swiped my card. It kept not taking it despite having money on it. Asked  jokingly if they didn’t take visa. No where did it say they don’t take visa. I checked not a single sticker on register or door. I refused to pay or put the cart away. I pretty sure it’s illegal not to have the sticker that says what payment type is excepted in that county. Least to say I’m never going again. Sam’s club has never given me problems and I can pay using the app and skip the lines.

I voted Costco, but I have a Sam’s membership because it’s much closer to me than Costco.

I believe the stores themselves are fairly comparable, but I’m not as familiar with Sam’s Club as I haven’t shopped there since like 2009. I like Costco, their store brand Kirkland Signature is high quality. They also have generous return policies and other services you can get through them, like vacation packages.
